Does anyone have a compressor or airshot (http://www.airshotltd.com/) I could borrow?

I’m struggling to get a new tubeless tyres seated and think it just needs a big blast of air from one of these.

Salvo, have you got your priorities right - spend time with the kids or go for a cycle, hmmm ;-)

Sorry I didn’t see this in time!! I stayed in as it was raining.

There is a hill climb time trial next month not too far from Royston and looks like it could be a good event.

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-arkesden-hill-climb-championship-registration-74882374197?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

Here is the strava segment for the climb:
https://www.strava.com/segments/22036894

I'm planning to do this... anybody else?

It's finally arrived: the first closed road hill climb event in North West Essex...who would have believed it! After months of protracted negotiations with UDC and the UCI we have the go ahead. The monstrous Col du Long Lane is the venue, its slopes littered with the tattered dreams of many Saffron Walden cyclists.

Places in the event are limited so don't delay in registering at:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-arkesden-hill-climb-championship-registration-74882374197?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

The road will be closed from 8.00-11.00am on Sunday 3rd November. Registration will take place in Arkesden Village Hall from 7.30am that morning.
The first rider will set-off at 8.30 with subsequent riders going off at 30 second intervals. It is a simple race of truth, man/woman vs mountain, somewhere around three minutes of unadulterated pain, suffering, anguish and torment. As the road rises to over 10% in the final 150m the cacophony of noise from the massed spectators will surely spur you on over the finishing line.

But once is not enough, we want you to get your money’s worth: after the time trial has been completed every competitor will then also have a head-to-head race on the same climb against another rider. We’ll draw up and handicap these races to make sure everyone has a fair chance of winning. And if you have set one of the fastest four times you’ll be racing for medals and for the title of King or Queen of the Hill.

Sign up, tell your cycling mates, and bring along family and friends to cheer you on. Let's make some noise! [url]https://www.youtube.com

This isn't going to be closed road any more so I am thinking that I probably won't do it now.

Hi

I've got a rear mounted bike rack that's no longer needed. It has only been used a few times but has been living in the shed for a couple of years.

It takes three bikes and fits on the back of most cars. It's the sort that hooks over the boot of the car.

£10.
