Hi all, just be aware that there are a few rough, gritty patches when you come into Steeple Morden from Litlington. They have just completed surface dressing.

Hi all,

Got a Garmin Touring, about 3 years old. It seems to crash when it loses its GPS signal (just not great when you have just conquered Box Hill). Has anybody had this as well, and is there a way to fix it. I already reset it fully, but it just keeps happening..... I did see similar issues on Strava with various folk doing the Prudential, so it looks like a relatively common issue....

Any advice much appreciated as don't really want to get a replacement.

Thanks, Astrid

Hi Gareth, no problem.

Is anybody else heading into London to fetch their number etc ahead of the Prudential, so we can join forces?

Actually, I could do Saturday as well. Only thing being that I will not drive that far into London... But more than happy to pay petrol/parking, or go for public transport

Hi all, I am riding the Prudential this year, just wondering whether anybody is picking up their rider stuff from Excel on Thursday/Friday late afternoon/early evening and wouldn't mind me dragging along?

Btw my start time on the day is 7:56

Hi all,

Don't think a lot of people are aware, but a decision will be made before the end of the year about the Oxford - Cambridge fast train link. The current proposals are cutting straight through Sandy, Guilden Morden, Bassingbourn.
This will be a fast rail link and there will not be any level crossings, which means that all country lanes will become dead-ends.

A proposal has been put forward to move the line further north, alongside the A428, which will also have the added benefit of linking up the newly proposed towns up there to Cambridge. It does make sense, as there will be many more commuters wanting that connection, than people travelling from Bedford to Cambridge.

Anyhow, to cut a long story short, if you want to continue enjoying cycling on countrylanes and want to protect our green space, could you please sign the petition, which is "To add the northern A428 proposal to be assessed and put forward during Public consultation"

Just checked a the bassingbourn half starts at 10am, so it will be ok for the T1, but S1 looks good too.

|Finally got my bike sorted after our burglary quite a few months back, so I should be around tomorrow (although fitness has gone very much out of the window)!!!!

It is the Bassingbourn braintrust run tomorrow, not sure what time it starts though, so might be worthwhile avoiding Bassingbourn, Litlington and Steeple Morden.

Hi all,

Looking for a bike-carrier to fit on a tow bar. Anybody got one gathering dust in the garage, or advise on where to go to get one?

Thanks, Astrid

For to non-Ferrari's amongst us (only kidding Salvo), suggesting S2 or http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1552467085 (26 miles towards Melbourn) @ 13 - 14 mph\ave. But open to suggestions (done T1 and S1 in the previous 2 weeks)

Suggesting S1 for the 13.5 - 14.5 mile/h group, or people looking for steady ride. See you then.
