Tarmac Tour of Hertfordshire

Fancy a go at closed road racing? Herts County Council are inviting clubs to participate in a series of 5 events to be held across in the County over the summer.  Details about each round and how to enter are available at:=18ptwww.tourofhertfordshireseries.com=12pt
=12pt Richard B was our sole representative at Hitchin last year and it would be good if we could get a few more flying the flag for RCC this year.

Re: Tarmac Tour of Hertfordshire

Has everyone received there race rider manual? JohnB it says you are not allowed to race with disc brakes, but you may want to get that clarified, so you may need to bring another bike just in case. What time is everyone getting there? Registration opens at 9.30am

Re: Tarmac Tour of Hertfordshire

JB was not planning to race his disc bike anyway. I'll be there about 9.30 at the Spirella car park, early to soak up the atmosphere.

Re: Tarmac Tour of Hertfordshire

They were also banned for the Gran Fondo, but they stated that they would undertake no bike checks on the day.
Disc brakes are currently banned under UCI regulations, hence why you'll see no pros with them yet.
