Sunday 5 July

Thanks to committee members for suggesting this format.

Jordans Mill - Out and back - Total 35 flat miles - Take away coffee at Jordans.

Not sure if we are to use the main car park entered from King James or the car park next to the Town Hall entrance on Melbourn Street.

Could the committee please confirm?

Re: Sunday 5 July

John, while Jordans reopens tomorrow (2nd) I do not think that the cafe or restaurant will be serving.

You could head into Biggleswade Market square to Surfin Cafe. Not specifically a cycling stop but it has a large outside area in the market Square and does sell cakes.

Re: Sunday 5 July

Re meet-up I suggest  by the car park's main entrance on King James Way.

Re: Sunday 5 July

Thanks for the heads-up Darren regarding Jordans. I had tried calling them earlier today. You just get a recorded message directing you to their website which was at the time rather inconclusive. I think we'll just go on to the Surfin Cafe as you suggest. Hope your group has a good ride.

Re: Sunday 5 July

Hi John. Adding my name into the pot for the Sunday ride.

If we get more than 6 in the group, I can offer to lead out a second group.  We will separate at the car park and postpone our start by 5 mins.

Jordon's Mill is offering takeaway food. However, note that the toilets will remain closed.  Any loos in Biggleswade open?

Re: Sunday 5 July

I'd like to come on Sunday and may manage to average 13mph if it's not too hilly!  However if you already have 6 people in the group, I'm quite used to riding solo!

Re: Sunday 5 July

JohnM. Sorry, but I am unable to download the GPX files for either course as it requires me to create an account with MapMyRide and I will not accept their terms and conditions.
