    Hi - a few medium rares will be doing c 50 miles return trip to Blue Egg. We will be meeting/leaving Maple Way c 8:15 so please shout if anyone would like to join us (or come back with us) who is not on our Whats App group. We can pick up as we go past Town Hall Car Park and also picking John Meadows up at Lime Kiln Close (up Barkway Road) and then another at Barley crossroads c 8:45.  Be nice to see the rest of you, though unlikely we will all be at Blue Egg at the same time.

    I’ll join you at Barkway at 08:15 and conveniently miss the first couple of climbs !

    For our first stop I've reserved a couple of tables at Debden Barns. (Unfortunately the Blue Egg doesn't accept bookings so we'll have to take our chances there.)
    Based on postings to date we will need both to split the group on the road (so I suggest everyone has the route on their device), and, of course, observe social distancing when we stop. I've made a slight tweak to the route as originally posted and the latest version is here https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33719660 (Apologies if you've downloaded  the previous version.)
    Final checklist and we're good to go - energy snacks, plenty of liquids, credit card, face mask, multitool and spare tubes. See you Saturday.

    I am not coming on the ride tomorrow as I have hurt my back and dont want to risk it getting any worse. Had hoped it would recover in time but sadly not.

    I’ll meet in Barkway as well. I’ll leave Melbourn around 7:30 for a gentle ride up the hill.

    Suggest we meet with the Melbourn group in the car park of the Tally Ho in Barkway and then sort ourselves into three groups for the ride. For those starting from Royston it's 8am from the Heath Sports Club.
